This week’s Featured Business is Risen Aerials located in Riner, Virginia. I’ve worked with the owner, Mike Poff, for several years now as he has often done most of the videography for Replenish Festival. Whether you’re capturing breathtaking landscapes, cinematic footage for a commercial, or showcasing real estate from a whole new angle—Risen Aerials will help your vision take flight. They are the premier aerial drone photography and cinematography provider in the New River Valley.
FAA Part 107 Certified and Fully Insured
You can trust that every flight is legal, safe, and professional as Risen Aerials is certified an insured! Serving Christiansburg, Blacksburg, Salem, Roanoke, and beyond—Mike will bring Hollywood-grade equipment and small-town care to every project.
DEMO REEL
Risen Aerials doesn’t just fly drones—Mike flies cinema cameras. From Red and Arri Alexa Mini support to his in-house Blackmagic Cinema 4K, his custom platforms are built to carry the cameras serious filmmakers trust. Your brand deserves nothing less.
I highlight Mike with Risen Aerials because we have a very similar objective: to help local businesses thrive! Mike says, “Everyone has a story and I want people’s stories to be heard to inspire, support and be seen. Everyone has something to share and I want to help share it.” I LOVE this! His video projects include weddings, events commercials and promos. He also does photography.
Mike likes to think outside the box to find ways to draw attention to a person’s story. His work has been featured on The Velocity Channel, Discovery Channel, as well as ESPN. He’s also helped with a movie and several statewide commercials.
As I talk with businesses who need awareness in their business, one of the biggest things I see that they don’t have, but NEED is VIDEO CONTENT, especially for their social channels. Mike focuses on high quality work at affordable prices. Mike has some special packages that he does JUST for small businesses, so if you’re looking for some content and/or even a commercial, he can help you out! Just reach out to him! Call him at 540-529-2885 or reach out by email: mike@risenaerials.com. Tell him the Small Town Floyd Girl sent you!
I’ll leave you with this commercial Mike filmed just a couple years ago. See if you recognize anyone! 😉
