Meet the Heart Behind Meadows of Anne

One of my favorite things about supporting local businesses is hearing the stories behind them. Anne Robertson de Jong has family from Floyd and when I recently interviewed her, she shared that she’s always wanted property here and so when she found some available, she was happy to purchase. The inspiration behind Meadows of Anne was the result of wanting to create a welcoming retreat where guests can slow down and reconnect.

It’s clear when you visit that this project was built with care, intention, and a genuine love for hospitality. She’s thought of everything to make sure that a stay is full of comfort. And many of the pictures hanging on the walls were taken by her sister, Kate! She’s even incorporated Kate’s photos on coasters!
